You will be immersed in the target language through active participation, assimilating the words, the grammar and phonetic rules in a natural way. English and French are living languages; you need to practice to understand them better. That’s why you will always speak more than me, as you are the one who is here to practise and feel more comfortable with the language. And you are the amazing learner!

I will guide you to understand how the English/French language works. This will give you insight into the way native speakers think. You will then be able to choose the words and phrases to speak naturally.

I will tell you where you stand and where you need to improve.

I will tell you about the common mistakes French speakers make when speaking English or non-native speakers make when they speak French.

I use the material we are looking at to introduce you to new structures or commonly used vocabulary.

Material

I use international news or any other materials related to real life contexts. Exploring international news in another language is a great way to leave behind your mother tongue and way of thinking to see how people live and think elsewhere on the planet. It’s a way to travel and escape from your day-to-day life and to keep your mind open to others. Getting to know a culture encourages you to go and meet people in a more relaxed way, or to watch a documentary/film with a better understanding – all of which will improve your English/French. Materials include videos, articles, art, clips from films, audios and books or any material I can build just for you that justifies your learning target!
